Siegfried A. Naumann, D.D.S., M.S.
Dr. Naumann received his Bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Medical College of Virginia, receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He then completed his post Doctoral training and residency at the Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas, where he obtained a Master of Science degree Summa Cum Laude in oral biology and a certificate in orthodontics. Dr. Naumann is a past president of the Kitsap County Dental Society. For several years in a row, Dr. Naumann has been awarded as one of the region’s “best dentists” in Seattle Magazine - a recognition given by the dental community and his professional peers.
Dr. Naumann was heavily involved in research during his dental and orthodontic training and has published several articles in medical and orthodontic journals. The initial focus of his research was based on the hormone production of the pituitary gland and the effects on cancer cells. This endocrinological research created a great interest in the medical aspects of dentistry and gave him a solid foundation on a broad view of the human body. His latest research was the study of jaw growth in adolescents and its relationship with normal tooth eruption. His findings in these latest studies have significantly affected his practice philosophy today.
Dr. Naumann was a practicing family dentist prior to specializing in orthodontics. This period of his career prepared him to “see the full picture” and allowed him to better coordinate treatment with each patient's family dentist.
Dr. Naumann was born in Chile and moved to the United States with his family in 1979. He now lives in Seabeck with his wife, Riitta, and their four children.
Dr. Naumann is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, Washington State Dental Association, and the Kitsap County Dental Society. He was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor society and is eligible for diplomacy in the American Board of Orthodontists. Dr. Naumann is bilingual; he is fluent in both English and Spanish.
Dr. Naumann loves to teach. He is heavily involved in professional presentations regarding all aspects of orthodontics and the advancements in the field. He is an accomplished lecturer and enjoys sharing his knowledge with others.
